Having spent 18months in R&D to perfect the product, Crackerjack began marketing the Jumbo as the next generation potato cake as a direct result of consumer feedback. Double dipped in a golden crunchy tempura batter and consistent in size and texture all year round, the Crackerjack Jumbo Potato Cake (PC) or potato scallops for our friends in NSW, have quickly reshaped the PC market in takeaways / roadhouses and fast food institutions.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Deep Fry

Place frozen Potato cakes in fryer basket and drop into preheated vegetable oil at 175°C - 180°C. Cook for 3.5-4.5 minutes until golden in colour. Shake basket to remove excess oil. When cooking 1 potato cake at a time, supervise cooking times so product is not overcooked. For best Results always DEEP FRY FROM FROZEN

  • All cooking appliances may vary. Please adjust cooking times accordingly. Ensure product is fully cooked prior to serving.
Oven

Preheat oven and oven tray to 230°C (210°C fan forced) for 10 minutes. Spread frozen Potato Cakes in a single layer on the tray and have potato cakes evenly spread. Bake in oven for 5-7 minutes, turn and continue heating for a further 5-7 minutes or until product is golden in colour.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Cooking times will vary from oven to oven. Adjust the cooking times to suit your oven and preference. FOR BEST RESULTS ALWAYS DEEP FRY FROM FROZEN IN A VEGETABLE OIL.
